Refund Policy

Student’s Right to Cancel

Horizon University (HU) shall refund 100 percent of the amount paid for institutional charges, less an Application/Registration Fee not to exceed two hundreds and fifty dollars ($250), if notice of cancellation is made through attendance at the first class session, or the seventh class day after enrollment, whichever is later.

Cancellation shall occur when you deliver written notice of cancellation to the address of the university. You can do this by mail or hand delivery. The written notice of cancellation, if sent by mail, is effective when deposited in the mail, properly addressed with postage prepaid.

HU advises each student that a notice of cancellation shall be in writing and that a withdrawal may be effectuated by the student’s written notice or by the student’s conduct, including, but not necessarily limited to, a student’s lack of attendance.

The written notice of cancellation need not take any particular form and, however expressed, is effective if it shows that you no longer wish to be enrolled. The refund policy for students who have completed sixty (60) percent or less of the period of attendance shall be a pro-rata refund.

Withdrawal from Course

All students have the right to withdraw from a course of instruction at any time. If you withdraw from the course of instruction after the period allowed for cancellation, which is until midnight of the first business day following the first class you attended, the school will remit a refund, less an Application/Registration Fee if applicable, not to exceed two hundreds and fifty dollars ($250), within thirty (30) days following your withdrawal. You are obligated to pay only for educational services rendered.

The refund shall be the amount you paid for instruction multiplied by a fraction, the numerator of which is the number of hours of instruction which you have not received but for which you have paid, and the denominator of which is the total number of hours of instruction for which you have paid.

Students whose entire tuition and fees are paid by a third-party organization are not eligible for a refund.
